Showers of Blessings...

Encouragement comes in many ways. It's always a blessing when it happens. This week a number of encouraging things have happened:

These tomatoes, bananas, and plantains were given to us by the Maumu Church of Christ located in one of Buea's surrounding villages. We were encouraged when these people who have so little brought us food from their farms to show their gratitude for all the teaching and preaching Jeremiah has done for the past month.

We have been having Bible studies with a Catholic family for several months now and they have also shown their gratitude by bringing us water from their homes knowing that we are on day 17 with no water. A lot of times as missionaries we are often the ones giving so it is refreshing to see the gratitude and thoughtfulness of those we have been sharing the Word of God with.

We are also very grateful for the encouragement we get from our friends, family, and fellow saints world-wide. We continue to thank you for all the prayers, e-mails, get-well cards, birthday cards, letters, care packages, monthly support, special contributions, etc. YOU are a BIG part of this ministry and God is using you to help the work here keep moving forward. THANK YOU! "Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing."                  I Thess. 5:11.
Most of all we want to thank God for His loving-kindness and faithfulness. "It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your loving-kindness in the morning and your faithfulness by night." Psalm 92:1-2

Love and Appreciation from the Happy Hostetters!

  1. Aww! What sweet neighbors! Isn't it nice to know your efforts are noticed? I am happy you're here! You remain in my prayers. Those plantains look like they'd make some yummy dodo ;)

    Thanks for sharing!
