Youth Night!

It's been a huge answer to prayers, the way God has kept opening up opportunities for us to make a difference here in Buea. Last week on Saturday, we had a great chance to fulfill one of our big E's here in Cameroon- Equipping. We invited a number of the young  people from a local congregation along with some of their non-Christian friends to our house for a night of singing, praying, Bible discussion, snacks and games.

Jeremiah prepared several songs and put the words up on the computer for us to sing. "Praise the Lord in song for He has done excellent things; Let this be known throughout the earth." Isaiah 12:5

Jeremiah lead the discussion taken from I Timothy 1:3-8 about what makes doctrine or instruction strange or good- which is whether or not it results in increased love or not.

When we invited the youth to come we were expecting teenagers and people in their early 20's. We found out that what is considered youth in Cameroon are those in their 20's and 30's. We were thankful for each and every one who was able to attend. :)

Jeremiah taught them how to play Bible Brainstorm. They really enjoyed acting out different Bible phrases. They did a great job especially considering this was their first time playing.

They enjoyed the drawing part of Bible Brainstorm too. It got pretty intense at the end when the scores were close.

Rejoicing over a well earned point!

They ate ALL the snacks...boiled eggs, pepper, pop corn and bananas. I don't think I have ever been to a youth program where there was food left over. :)

A moment of prayer. (I took this pic right before he started praying.)
Thank God for the way He keeps bringing us these opportunities, and please keep praying that they continue and even expand. Thanks for your prayers guys- they are making a difference.
